Benjamin Frétard of FRETARD Design has recently completed a small café named ‘Little Green’, that’s located in the heart of Melbourne, Australia.

Inside, the cafe measures in at just 40 square meters (430 sqft), and has a high ceiling that helps the space feel larger. Bar seating along the window provides a place for people to wait for their food while viewing the street.

The service counter has a textured wood facade that complements the other wood elements in the cafe, and the counter drops down to a different height to display product and create visual interest.

Light wood curved shelving makes use of the corner and the black support element ties in with other black elements in the interior, like the ceiling.

Behind the counter and against the wall, there’s additional shelving that houses plants, supplies and the menu boards.
