SkLO, a studio that designs and manufactures handblown glass lighting and objects, has created the Hold sconce and pendant light.
Respecting the richness of glass as an organic material and the historical craft tradition it embodies, the designers, with a studio in California, worked with their team of master glassblowers in the Czech Republic to create the designs.
The Hold sconce is a glass vessel that appears to droop from its hook, creating a look that’s like a hanging bag.
The glass shade creates a soft glow for the bulb inside, which can be hidden from view depending on the color of the glass chosen.
The Hold pendant lights are different in their design from the sconce lights, as the glass shade hangs from a double-ended brass hook.
Each lamp, whether its the sconce or pendant light, is created, one at a time, entirely by hand, with no two being alike.
When used in groups, the differences of the lights become subtly clear, giving individuality to each one, and an organic composition to the group.
