Sanjay Puri Architects were tasked with designing an office in Mumbai, India, and as a way to add interest to the interior, they included perforated accents in three different areas.
The first area is an open and expansive reception space that’s used for seminars and entertaining. The large wall, which would otherwise be empty, has been adorned with geometric perforations creating an overall circular pattern.
The second area that showcases a perforated pattern is the spiral staircase that connects all three levels of the office. The grey exterior of the stairs, with its scattered circle pattern, is reciprocated on the interior of the stairs, allowing people to enjoy the pattern while they travel between the levels.
The third area where perforated accents exist is in the work stations of the office. This time, the curved perforated panels feature a grid of differently sized circles that let the light travel through.
