Landscape design firm Seed Studio, has completed a multi-level yard for a home in San Francisco, California, that’s owned by a couple who like to entertain.
Stairs lead up to the first level of the yard, that’s dedicated to the Manta Ray fire bowl, designed by Fire Pit Art.
Pami pebbles (a mixture of rounded pebbles) were used as the gravel material, creating a natural surface for the wood stumps to sit on, while the edge of the next level acts as additional seating.
Pavers, also surrounded by pebbles, and stairs lead up to the highest level in the backyard.
A variety of plants have been added to the garden, including succulents compatible with the rocky soil, bamboo for screening, and a vegetable garden for homemade meals.
The upper level is home to the outdoor living room, that’s been furnished with a soft blue couch, and is the perfect spot for conversation.
The view of the neighborhood can be seen from from the upper level of the backyard.
