Developed by Fritchle Company, built by Hiebsch Custom, and designed and staged by LeTourneau Architecture, is this new house in Newport, California.
The front exterior of the house features a weathered steel accent, and plants that line the walkways.
The path from the street is broken up with the use of contrasting pebbles. At night, the entrance is lit up with hidden lighting elements.
The weathered steel accent on the front of the house wraps around into the foyer, while a pivoting front door with a black steel frame welcomes visitors to the house.
The house has multiple entertaining areas, like this living room that has a TV recessed into the wood wall.
Large sliding glass doors open the living room to a covered front patio that looks out onto the street.
Back inside, and towards the rear of the home is an open plan great room, with a second living room. A large light colored rug helps to anchor the living room in the open interior.
A dining table with a sculptural chandelier separates the living room and the kitchen.
The gourmet kitchen has minimalist wood cabinets, an integrated fridge, a large white island with seating, and a walk-in pantry.
A retractable glass wall blurs the line between indoors and outdoors.
The partially covered patio area steps down to the yard, where there’s a daybed, and a pool with a spa.
A small bridge that separates the spa from the pool also provides a unique way to reach the master suite, which can also be access from within the house.
The master suite features retractable glass walls, custom European white oak flooring, limestone walls, and a sitting area with a fireplace and recessed television.
The master suite also has a large en-suite bathroom with the same wood flooring as the bedroom. A long floating wood vanity sits below a mirror with hidden lighting, and has a thick grey counter with built-in sinks.
The en-suite bathroom also has a sculptural freestanding white bathtub, a glass enclosed shower for two, windows with a view of the plants outside, and wood cabinetry.
An expansive walk-in closet has a floor-to-ceiling mirror framed by soft lighting, a vanity area, a glass enclosed wardrobe, and plenty of cabinets and drawers for clothing storage.
In a guest bedroom, a sliding glass door opens to a small outdoor space with a succulent wall.
In a guest bathroom, grey tiles cover the walls, while a skylight adds natural light to the shower and bath.
The house is currently for sale through Aaron Kirman of Aaron Kirman Group at Compass, and Melanie Greiner of REMax Evolution. You can view the listing here.
