LUMICENE has recently launched LUMIPOD, a small and modern prefab cabin that’s designed around a curved window, allowing the interior of the cabin to be open to nature.
Designed and manufactured in Lyon, France, LUMIPOD is built from 2 modules resting on four screw piles to minimize as much as possible the impact on the installation site. The cabin, which is clad in burned wood, can be assembled within 2 days.
The cabin is only 183 square feet (17 sqm), and has a bedroom, a small amount of storage, and a bathroom.
The bathroom has dark tiles that contrast the wood ceiling, while hidden lighting helps to keep the small space bright.

The curved glass windows are held in place by aluminium frames that slide between two rails, allowing the windows to be hidden away when opened.
