When KC Design Studio were creating this modern apartment in Taipei, Taiwan, they decided to include an eye-catching multi-height kitchen island.
The island, which features a base that’s been clad in vertical wood, has a small bar sink at one end, and a cantilevered dining area at the other.
As the apartment didn’t have enough room for a separate dining table, the designers incorporated it into the multi-height kitchen island.
The concrete countertop flows from the upper portion of the island, down to the dining area, with a curve creating a smooth transition. In case the weight on the cantilevered dining table becomes too much, there’s also hidden legs underneath it.
