London-based architecture and design studio Outpost, has designed the remodel and extension of a London house, and as part of the project, they created a pair of kids bedrooms that have built-in furniture.
Each bedroom has a custom-designed bed that’s been tucked into one end of the room, creating an open play area that’s softened by the use of a modern rug.
Built-in storage, like a closet and open shelving, has also been included in the design of the room, making use of the small awkward spaces.
Another interesting design detail in this kid’s bedroom is the use of a round window, where instead of trying to find a curtain or blind to cover the window, the designers created an upholstered circular cushion with a handle that can easily fit into the window frame, blocking out the light.
