Australian architecture and design firm Studio Griffiths has completed the remodel of a home that included the updating of the bathrooms.
The new bathrooms use Terrazzo throughout, complementing the moody, tones of black and grey.
The theme of grey, black, and charcoal extends throughout all of the spaces, with the recurrent grid motif, seen in the steel-framed shower screen and the grid of the tiles, influenced by the existing form of the windows.
The main en-suite bathroom features a wall of custom diamond-cut terrazzo, a geometric shift designed to surprise and relieve the eye, while the Ottocento bath by Agape rests below the window.
The extremely minimalist and slimline consoles by Ex.t, have black steel frames with white countertops and integrated basins, adding a lightness to the otherwise dark bathrooms.
‘Potter DS’ ceramic wall lights from Anchor Ceramics accent the grey tile walls, and complement the tapware from Brodware.
The ‘Plateau’ mirrors by Sebastian Herkner, add a curved detail to the bathrooms.
