Hey contemporist friends! Here’s something you don’t see very often, a bathroom that has black walls and a black floor. Normally, bathrooms are small enclosed rooms with little natural light, so having white walls are a common choice, in order to maximize the light available. Dark walls are a rare choice. However, when this house in Germany was completely redesigned by Behnisch Architects, they were able to include large floor to ceiling windows that fill the bathroom with natural light. We are curious to know how well this works at night though. Either way, it’s a distinct look that got our attention.
