Architecture and interior design firm Assembledge+ recently completed the remodel of a regional mid-century house in Huntington Beach, California. Included in the update was a living room wall with shelving, and a built-in TV and fireplace.
The light wood open shelving flanks the TV and fireplace, while the lower section features drawers and an open area for larger decor items like artwork, and flowers.
The linear fireplace with a matte black frame is located below a TV that’s been recessed into the black accent wall, creating a unified accent in living room that contrasts the light wood.
Another thing to note is that the designers lined up the bottom of the fireplace to match the wood cabinetry, creating a horizontal line across the entire wall.
