Cibinel Architecture have designed a modern boathouse that’s perfect for lounging and entertaining on Lake of the Woods in Canada.

The client requested a design that would enable easy boat parking and year-round storage, as well as a space that would capture sunlight and views over the water. The boathouse, which features two cantilevers and is open, has been constructed using steel, with wood used as the finishing material.

On the upper deck of the boathouse, a sliding mosquito curtain ensures the entertaining space space can be used year-round, and a fireplace hanging from the ceiling creates warmth for when it gets cooler.
