When Hugo Monte Arquitecto were designing this modern house in Póvoa de Varzim, a city located in Portugal, they decided to make use of the large backyard and they included a path to an outdoor entertaining area.
Sunken down into the grassy yard is a square lounging pit, with built-in seating that wraps around the fire and allows people to lean against the wall. From the lounge, you’re able to have a view of the house, and at night it’s lit up, highlighting the modern design of the house.
Surrounding the sunken lounge is a wood deck that’s shaded by trees, ideal for daytime lounging and relaxing during the summer months.
