Artist Baptiste Debombourg has created ‘Stellar’, a sculpture located in the public square at Place du Bouffay in Nantes, France.
Working together with Le Voyage à Nantes, the aerial sculpture took 11 months to create and is made from 1200 chairs.
When designing the sculpture, Baptiste Debombourg was inspired by artwork that Robert Delaunay made for the “Palais de l’Air” during the Paris World’s Fair in 1937, as well as the surrounding cafes and restaurants in the square.
