Exterio architects have shared photos of a new home they completed in Warsaw, Poland, that’s surrounded by a pine tree forest.

The clients chose the location for the home as it evoked their fond memories of summers spent in the forest, and wanted the house to be nested in the existing plot’s ecosystem, and keep the original placement of trees and shrubs.

The architects proposed a design inspired by traditional farm buildings, which would at the same time fit into the forest surroundings.

The home’s design is split into two wings, one part houses the living areas, like the living room, dining room, and kitchen. While the other one houses the bathrooms, bedrooms, and garage.

There’s also the connection between the two wings, which includes the entry hall and stairs.

Handmade brick with a rustic finish covers the building facade, with its texture and color making the building fit seamlessly into the forest landscape. It also pays homage to the architectural traditions of villages near Warsaw.
