Zecc Architects, together with interior designer Roel Norel, have designed a small contemporary cottage in a rural area north of Utrecht in The Netherlands.
The cottage has a wall of windows one end of the cottage, allowing sunlight to fill the interior.
Windows with wood slat shutters line the side wall, creating an open feeling, while at night, the shutters can be closed for more privacy.
Inside, the cottage features an open floor plan with a kitchen and dining area, a bedroom and a loft space.
The cottage also features a bedroom with a bathroom. The vanity is open to the bedroom, with the metal-lined shower hidden behind a wood door.
