Portuguese architecture office Openbook has designed the Ritz Pool Bar as part of an overall project to renovate the terrace and galleries of the Ritz Four Seasons Hotel Lisbon.

The bar has an organic design and total openness to the terrace, with walls of glass allowing the interior to be seen from the outdoor spaces.

The glass walls retract to connect the tables and chairs with the outdoor terrace.

The terracotta tiles in shades of green and brown, designed by Openbook and produced by Viúva Lamego, blend in with the green of the surrounding garden, while the shape of the bar reflects that of the building.

Additional seating outside is covered by red canopies, adding a pop of color to the terrace.
