MU Architecture has shared photos of a renovated historic loft in Montreal’s Old Port that seamlessly blends heritage with modern design.
One example of this is the kitchen that includes original structural elements while integrating contemporary materials, creating a sophisticated yet inviting space.

The kitchen, a focal point of the loft, features striking copper cabinetry by Cuisines Illo, set against the stone walls.

Stainless steel countertops add a contemporary edge, while an oversized island and seamlessly integrated appliances ensure functionality.

This space is designed as both a culinary hub and an artistic statement.

The exposed stone walls and wooden elements were meticulously restored, preserving their raw beauty while enhancing warmth and texture.

Wide oak planks and a sculptural black-metal staircase enhance the sense of grandeur.

The loft’s upper level houses luxurious bedroom suites, complete with spa-like bathrooms, as seen in this bedroom that includes a glass-enclosed en-suite.

In another bathroom, an artistic floral mural features on the wall, adding color to the room.

The third bathroom is more minimalist in its design, with square white tiles covering the walls, and black tiles on the floor.
