Pedro Haruf Arquiteto has designed a small apartment in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, for a young production engineer who needed to make the most of the interior layout.
The apartment, which has an open plan kitchen and living room, doesn’t have enough interior space for a dining area.
The solution to this problem was to include two thin tables with four chairs that are positioned between the living room and the kitchen. These tables also have wheels, making it easy to move them. The small coffee tables, are also able to be moved easily, as they are designed to stack on the bookshelf in the corner.
When the coffee table is moved, the other two tables with wheels can be re-positioned to act as the dining table, making use of the open living room. Another benefit of these tables is that they can also be moved by the window to create a desk when needed.
Here’s a glimpse at the rest of the apartment, which includes wood flooring, a green MDF accent wall, and a bedroom with a wrap around wood accent.
