Columns, whether they’re in the workplace or at home, are often left as raw concrete or simply painted, but in this office interior in Brazil, architect Bibiana Menegaz decided to transform them into gabions.

By installing a black metal cage lined with a smaller metal mesh around the columns, the designers were able to fill the cage with smaller rocks, without having them falling out. By doing this, they complemented the industrial interior design aesthetic found throughout the office.
