Landscape architecture firm ASPECT Studios, have recently completed phase 1 of Wantou & Vanke Paradise Art Wonderland, a community social plaza in Hefei, China.
The vibrant and developing district is popular with millennials that have an appreciation for design and a unique pursuit for a high end modern living environment.

The plaza has a variety of seating options, like a built-in concrete bench that sits underneath a red pergola and that wraps around the planters.

In the center of the plaza is the Pomegranate Flower, a light sculpture inspired by the stamens of the pomegranate flower.

There’s also sculptural seating that’s covered in red and pink tiles which complement the color of the sculpture and pergola.

A children’s playground has also been included in the design, with mountain-shaped play mounds with layered tonal change imitate the gradual changes and layers of the rock strata, while raising from a blue and green carpet that represents the river and forest.
