French interior design firm Batiik Studio, have transformed a run down apartment in Paris into to a functional space with a custom built lofted bed unit.
Here’s a glimpse of the apartment before it was renovated…

And here is the apartment after it was gutted and updated with the new bed unit. The walls were mostly left in their original state, however instead of having a small lofted bed without much head room, the designer created a ‘box’ that houses the bed and provides much needed storage.

A small set of stairs lead up to the bedroom area that’s surrounded by wood. A small built-in shelf provides a place to put personal items when sleeping.

On the exterior of the box there are a number of closets, cabinets and drawers that create plenty of storage for this tiny apartment.

A sliding panel black glass panel provides privacy for the bedroom and hides it from view when in the kitchen, while the lower wood kitchen cabinets match the wood that lines some of the exposed shelving and the interior of the bedroom.
