Located in an opening in a Dutch forest, 123DV Modern Villas designed a small, circular house for a couple and their Alaskan malamute dogs.
The circular home that measures in at 914 square feet (85 m²) features a metal walkway leading up to the large wooden door and is tucked right into the hillside to help reduce it’s impact on the landscape and allowing it to blend in better with the surroundings.

Circular windows wrap around half of the home while mirrored walls at both ends of the window give the appearance that the window keeps going and helps the homeowners keep an eye on their dogs.

The circular design also makes the most of the views of the forest surrounding the home. No matter where you are in the house, you can still see and enjoy the views of the trees and the garden just outside.

In keeping with the theme of being connected, an open floor plan in the house keeps all the elements of the house connected, including the living room, kitchen, dining area, and bedroom.

Although the design of the house means that the bedroom is connected to the rest of the interior, a sliding hatch can be closed to separate the bedroom and the rest of the home and provide a little bit of privacy.

The small bathroom features metal and stone walls, and a door made from the same wood material used to cover the walls of the home allows the bathroom to disappear from sight when the door is closed.
