PAR Arquitectos were commissioned to design this modern pool house next to an already existing swimming pool at a home in Santiago, Chile.
Inspired by pergolas, the design of the pool house includes white painted steel pillars and beams of Oregon Pine that sit on a base of stone.

A pathway leads you past the pool and provides access to the pool house. The pool house is slightly raised with most of the space open to the elements, while the kitchenette, bathroom and wine cellar are housed in the closed off section.

At one end of the pool house is the lounge, with simple outdoor sofas positioned to look out to the pool and backyard.

Next to the lounge is the dining table and bbq area. A wall of wooden screens provides privacy but at the same time, allowing the sun to shine through.

Between the floor of the pool house and the wooden screen is a small garden to add more nature to the space.
