Studio Hekla have designed djawa, an Indonesian restaurant located in Paris, France, that features contemporary wood wall decor as a design element.
The exterior of the restaurant is bright white with yellow accents and large windows. Glass doors allow people walking by to easily see into the restaurant.

Inside the restaurant and on the right side wall, there’s casual seating surrounded by wooden CNC cut panels.

These panels also appear on the bar on the opposite side of the room. Simple patterns allow the design to stand out throughout the restaurant.

At the end of the bar there’s another dining room, this one has lighting hidden behind the upper panels that cast shadow lines on the walls.

The shadows from the lights behind the wooden wall panels and the pendant lights, make for a unique shadow pattern on the ceiling and walls.
