When KAA Design were creating this garden at a home they designed in California, they included this stepped section of the garden that has integrated plants along with each step.

This section of the garden is located right outside the living and dining area of the home, which features large sliding doors on either side that open out onto the garden.

The stepped landscaping with integrated greenery provides an interesting visual element to the sloped garden, as well as helping to retain soil in the case of potential erosion. Native trees and plants to California have also been included in the design.
