When the mayor of Jersey City, in New Jersey, saw artist Shepard Fairey painting a mural on a wall in the city, he asked if he would be interested in creating another much larger mural, on the side of a very unappealing but highly visual building in another part of Jersey City. The end result was a huge wave mural, and is being hailed as the flagship mural for Jersey City’s public art program.
