Designer Antoni Arola has designed Flamingo, for lighting manufacturer VIBIA.
About the design
Flamingo (Flamingo) is a bird with long legs, delicate, elegant and very particular. Flamingo lamp, also meets many of the characteristics of the bird. But above all is a new way of projecting light.
It all started with the need to create a light atmosphere that diffusion normally generated by traditional screens, you could get a point light source is almost aggressive as Led.
The solution has been seen the result obvious, projected on screens instead of wrapping the source with a screen. This formula, has given us an ethereal result, we managed to break the lamp. With this decomposition or rather deconstruction we have also found the possibility of multiple combinations in a home unthinkable. Through this deconstructive process FLAMINGO combines functionality with a poetic appearance, radiating light and reconfiguring its constituent elements in a new way.
The result is a versatile light fitting which lends itself to multiple compositions, by separating the light source from the shade a more attenuated light can be achieved which is perfect for creating atmospheres whether it be for the home or other spaces where creating an atmosphere is important.
The diffuser is manufactured of translucent thermoplastic material. The cable becomes invisible as it is an integral part of the composition and allows the various elements to be aligned freely, producing lighting compositions that architects and interior designers can easily fit into different projects.
