Casanova+Hernandez architects, together with Kim Knoppers, the Dutch curator from the FOAM museum, have designed the Marubi National Museum of Photography in Shkodër, Albania.

Part of this design for the museum includes walls of windows that appear to have been inspired by the style of Piet Mondrian.

Different sized windows have been used to create a visually interesting display that surrounds the inner courtyard of the museum.

On the inside of the glass walls, the window joins have been given a deep white frame, defining the windows even more.

When it’s sunny, the white walls of the museum become home to artistic shadows.
