We rarely see modern/contemporary houses with window shutters, but this house in Germany shows that it can be done.
Designed by ARCS Architekten, this home for a family of four has window openings that allow views of the surrounding park area and garden to be enjoyed from the inside.
When it gets too hot or when the family wants privacy, they simply slide the shutters across. The design of the shutters, with horizontal wood slats over a perforated screen, allows views to the outside without people being able to look in.
From the front of the house, you can see that the shutters match the fence.
And also the rear of the home.
