Katharina Unger, the founder of LIVIN Farms, has created the world’s first countertop hive for edible insects. The hive is especially suited for growing mealworms, which enable you to replace the same amount of protein that you would otherwise consume in various other animal meats, such as beef or chicken. You only need to feed the mealworms vegetable scraps that you would dispose of anyway.
