Istanbul-based designer duo, Mehmet Erciyas and Neslihan Erciyas of Studioe2, have designed the AC House, a two-storey home located in Istanbul, Turkey.
The description from the designers:
The AC House is a 240 square meters residential project located in Panavia Residences in Istanbul’s Bosphorus district.
The two-storey residence has a large lounge room with an open kitchen, a restroom and service rooms on the ground floor.
The largest space is allocated for the lounge room and the kitchen, where the landlords can enjoy the time they spent together with their friends and guests.
They will feel the atmosphere created by this spacious room, while they are making preparations for dinner or while they are resting on the couch.
Upstairs has a master bedroom and a teen’s bedroom with their own bathrooms and walk-in-closets. Apart from these, a room for games or hobbies is also located in this floor.
The layout plan is created in a functional way, according to the needs of the landlords. Besides the plain and simple design lines, the texture and the colour of the materials has created a very visible impact on the room’s atmosphere.
The balance between the clear lines and the raw surfaces of the materials, such as marble, wood, concrete and metal used on the walls, the floors and the furniture, creates the visual language of the project.
