Mayes Office have recently completed the Bellino Drive Residence in Pacific Palisades, California.

Architecture should always be in dialogue with its surroundings. The landscape of Pacific Palisades, and the ocean views it affords were foremost in the design of the Bellino Drive Residence.
Like most developed areas in close proximity to the ocean, space is limited and properties are valued at a premium. Therefore, it was equally important to maximize square footage.
Due to building height restrictions proposing a second story from the existing grade level was not an option. Our solution was to create a first level floor plan carved out of grade and a second floor floating above to meet height requirements.
The second story and roof deck maximizes square footage while providing expansive views of the ocean and surrounding mountains.
