Martial Marquet together with Saperlipopette les architectes, have designed Casa no muro, a kids playhouse that had to be built on top of a wall, instead of in a tree.

The original brief was to build a treehouse, however the only suitable tree was on the neighbors property.

Instead of building it in the tree, they decided to perch the playhouse on top of a concrete wall that surrounded the garden.

The playhouse runs along the length of the wall. It has a ladder, a cabin, seating, and a platform at the end.

In the actual playhouse structure, there’s a large window that can be opened.

The cabin is made up of boards with gaps between them, so that the light can get in, but at the same time also creates some privacy.

At the end, there’s a platform for the children to relax on…
