Launched in partnership with home design brand MADE.COM, The Boathouse London has been created to provide accommodation on the scenic waters of West London.
Permanently moored at Merchant Square in London’s first floating park, the 60-foot widebeam barge, which was also built in London, has a sleek black exterior in the design of a traditional canal boat, with a generous rooftop deck.
Inside, the Scandinavian inspired interior, which features reclaimed wood paneling, has been designed by Kate Hanton.
A wood burning fireplace helps to keep the living spaces warm and cozy.
In the kitchen, an patterned tile accent designates the bar area of the kitchen, and on the adjacent wall, there’s a small dining space for two. A skylight allows the natural light from above to filter through to the interior.
A narrow wood-lined hallway leads to the bedroom and bathroom.
In the bedroom, built-in tables are positioned either side of the bed, while a window makes the room feel open.
In the bathroom there’s patterned tiles on the floor, a black-framed shower with white subway tiles, and a deep freestanding soaking tub with a black exterior.
