Artist Cheng Tsung FENG has designed a large bamboo art installation named “The Trap” for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Taipei, Taiwan.

Inspired by Taiwan’s traditional ancient culture of Fish Trapping, the Museum of Contemporary Art asked him to making a giant translucent space installation by hand.

Using bamboo, rattan, steel as materials, the design draws from the ancient hand-made fishing tool that can be found in many ethnic cultures throughout Taiwan.

The installation is located a the entrance of the art museum, and as a result, the fish that would normally be found in a fish trap, have been replaced with the crowd of people.
