A team of entrepreneurs, based in Vancouver and Hong Kong, have created Ruggie, a small rug that doubles as an alarm clock by forcing you to get out of bed to turn it off.
If you set Ruggie with your desired wake up time, when it’s time to wake up, the Ruggie will sound your alarm, and to make it stop, you need to stand on it for at least 3 seconds before it shuts off. By this time, you’re out of bed and on your feet, so you’re much more likely to get on with your day, rather than just hitting a typical ‘snooze’ button and going back to sleep.
Ruggie is currently being funded via Kickstarter, and you can find out more about it – here, or watch the video below.
